Clark-Shawnee Music Program Earns Recognition Again

The Clark-Shawnee Music Department has earned distinction as one of the Best Communities for Music Education in the country for the third consecutive year.

Clark-Shawnee is one of just 476 communities in the U.S. selected in 2016 for this recognition by the NAMM Foundation. All students in 1st through 12th grade are given opportunities to explore music programs, in excess of state minimums for music education, and options include band, choir, orchestra, marching band and jazz band.

"Music education is an important part of the well-rounded, high-quality education our community expects for students," said Superintendent Gregg Morris. "We are proud to lead the way in providing access to superb music programs with our highly-qualified and talented staff."
