Community Invited to Give Input for Superintendent Search

The Clark-Shawnee Board of Education invites the community to share their opinions about leadership qualities of the next Superintendent of Schools at an open focus group session the evening of January 17.

“We look forward to hearing from the families, students, teachers, staff and residents about the qualities and characteristics they feel are important in the next instructional leader of our school district,” said board President David DeHart. “The opinions of all of our constituents are an important factor as we search for the best fit for Clark-Shawnee Schools.”

Superintendent Gregg Morris will retire at the end of the 2017-18 school year in June 2018. The Board of Education is working with the Ohio School Boards Association to conduct a search for the next superintendent.

The session will focus on major issues facing the district for the next three to five years, the performance expectations for the next superintendent and personal and professional qualities to be sought in the next superintendent.

The open session will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Shawnee High School Media Center.
