The Clark-Shawnee Local School District will kick off Kindergarten Registration for the Class of 2039 to enroll for the 2026-2027 school year beginning June 8, 2026. Incoming Kindergarten students and students new to the district can register weekdays from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM at the Clark-Shawnee Local Administrative Office, 3680 Selma Pike, Springfield, Ohio, 45502. Students registering for Kindergarten must be 5 years of age by August 25, 2026.

For the past 16 years, Shawnee Middle School students have visited Arlington National Cemetery during their Washington D.C. trip to remember and honor the life and sacrifice of David Christoff, Shawnee High School, Class of 1999.
