Two new principals will join Clark-Shawnee Schools this fall to provide leadership to elementary schools in the district.
Mr. Joseph Jude will be the principal at Possum School and Mr. Kyle Phelps will be the principal at Reid School.
“We are excited to welcome two enthusiastic, dedicated educators to our leadership team,” said Superintendent Mr. Brian Kuhn. “Mr. Jude brings to the position a variety of experiences as a principal and knowledge of curriculum and instruction that will benefit students, teachers, and staff at Possum School. Mr. Phelps’ enthusiasm and passion for elementary education and experiences with literacy and PBIS initiatives will be an asset at Reid School.”
Most recently, Mr. Jude served as the Elementary Education Coordinator at Graham Schools; prior to that, he has worked as a principal since 2006 in districts such as Southwestern and Worthington Schools. He holds a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Ashland University and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Marietta College.
Mr. Phelps holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Wright State University. He most recently taught 2nd grade at Stephen Bell Elementary in Bellbrook, where he also represented his grade level on the Building and District Leadership Teams. Previously, he taught 1st grade at Enon Primary School.
