Three Students Compete at the 2022 State Power of the Pen Tournament Power of the Pen

May 12-13, 2022 Clark-Shawnee Middle Schoolers Sophie Lemon, Charlie Lemon, and Reese Chilcote competed at the 2022 State Power of the Pen Tournament hosted by Otterbein University.

Clark-Shawnee Students Place in Top Three at Regional FlexFactor Competition FlexFactor

On Friday, April 29th, Clark-Shawnee Local School District sent four student teams to present at the FlexFactor Regional Competition at Sinclair Community College. Two of the Clark-Shawnee teams placed in the top three at the event.

Clark-Shawnee Recognized for Breakfast and Lunch Programs Clark-Shawnee Recognized for Breakfast and Lunch Programs

Clark-Shawnee Local School District received recognition for the 2021-2022 Breakfast & Beyond Program from the Ohio School Breakfast Challenge. Clark-Shawnee was recognized for their resiliency and collaboration in the important work of feeding students. Districts who received this award provided an excellent, innovative, and collaborative approach to maximize student participation and access to the school meal programs.

Akers Recognized by Clark County Partners in Prevention Akers Recognized by Clark County Partners in Prevention

On March 11, 2022, Clark County Partners in Prevention honored four community members at their Coalition Appreciation event. Mrs. Sherry Akers, Shawnee High School Counselor, was among the award recipients. Akers received the Outstanding Contribution award from Clark County Partners in Prevention for her work with students at Shawnee High School.

Two Clark-Shawnee Educators Recognized for Excellence in Teaching

Mrs. Beth Patterson and Mrs. Darcy Leis are among the four Clark County Teachers selected for the Excellence in Teaching Award by the Rotary Club of Springfield.
