Shawnee High School earned a spot on the U.S. News and World Report Best High School List, ranking in the top 15 percent nationally and the top 12 percent in the state of Ohio.
Shawnee High School ranked 1st among Clark County schools, 90th in the state of Ohio and in the top 2,700 high schools nationwide out of more than 17,000 schools.
The U.S. News and World Report Best High Schools List is based on data about student achievement, graduation, AP tests, and college readiness.
“Recognitions like this really drive home how impactful it is when an entire community believes in and supports strong schools,” said Superintendent Brian Kuhn. “We are fortunate to be a community where residents and parents value education and students, teachers and staff come to school every day ready to work hard to make the most of their opportunities. This is truly recognition for our entire district, starting with the foundations our teachers in kindergarten and preschool lay and building each year until our Braves graduate ready for success in the real world.”
Shawnee High School is proud to offer a variety of fine arts opportunities for students in visual arts, music, performance and more; a robust catalogue of College Credit Plus opportunities, including the ability to earn an associates degree on the Shawnee campus; and career and college preparation activities for each and every student.
