Shawnee HS/MS Will Learn Virtually Monday, September 27, 2021

Shawnee HS/MS students in grades 7-12 will be learning remotely on Monday, September 27, 2021. This change is due to a large number of staff who will be on leave that day to attend a funeral service. There is an insufficient number of substitute teachers available to meet our needs that day which prevents us from being able to safely remain open for in-person instruction.

The schedule for Monday, September 27, 2021 for grades 7-12 will be as follows:

  • 7:30-9:00 AM--Teachers will be preparing instructional materials for posting into Google Classrooms.

  • 9:00 AM--Students will be able to access their instructional materials and should begin completing assignments.

  • 1:00-2:30 PM--Most teachers will be available for virtual office hours within their Google Classrooms. Please see information from your teacher(s) regarding their office hours.

  • Extracurricular activities will proceed as scheduled unless the coach/advisor communicates otherwise.

Shawnee Elementary students in grades PreK-6 will attend school in-person on Monday, September 27th. There will be no change to their school schedules on that day.

We are committed to meeting the academic needs of our students during what continues to be a challenging school year. Thank you for your continued understanding and support as we work together.

Sincerely,

Mr. Brian Kuhn
Superintendent
Clark-Shawnee Local Schools
