School counselors at Clark-Shawnee assist in the development of the whole child through personal, social, educational, and career counseling. The foundation for this begins in elementary school and continues throughout the student's school career. Our Clark-Shawnee counselors are dedicated to the success of each student.
College Credit Plus
Ohio’s College Credit Plus can help you earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking college courses from community colleges or universities. This program aims to promote rigorous academic pursuits and provide a wide variety of options to college-ready students.

Clark State College honored Olivia Lemon, Shawnee High School Class of 2024, and 11 other high school students with their annual Peacemaker Award at Springfield's Martin Luther King Jr. celebration.
Heather Hare, Shawnee High School Class of 2024, was selected to represent Clark-Shawnee as the Youth of the Month at The Exchange Club of Springfield.
Clark State College and the City of Springfield honored Christopher White, Shawnee High School Class of 2023, and 10 other high school students with their annual Peacemaker Award.
The Exchange Club of Springfield held its month Youth of the Month nominations. In February, they awarded Makenna Cox Moore, Shawnee High School Class of 2023, Youth of the Month.
Olivia Lemon, Shawnee High School Class of 2024, was honored as the recipient of the Ohio Masonic Grand Lodge Scholarship.
Shawnee Middle School writers competed against 29 other teams at the Power of the Pen Regional Tournament. Four of Shawnee Middle School writers qualified for the Power of the Pen State Tournament.
Clark-Shawnee and CTC senior, Dakota Roy, placed second in Technical Drafting at the SkillsUSA competition. Roy will advance to the state competition in April 2023.
Shawnee High School students competed for a spot in the Regional FlexFactor Competition. Out of the 20 Shawnee teams who presented, two will advance to the regional event on April 21, 2023, at Sinclair Community College.
As an individual who deals with speech disfluency, Carah has found the power of her voice and is using it to positively influence her peers.
Sara Deerwester was named Commended Student 2023 National Merit® Scholarship Program and recognized as Rotary Club of Springfield's Student of the Month.
