TRANSPORTATION

Take a few minutes to review the Bus Safety Procedures produced by Shawnee High School's videography class.

Our drivers strive to ensure that every student is transported safely and the drivers need your support in maintaining consistency in bus pick-up and drop-off locations. 

• All bus stops drop-off and/or pick-up, must be arranged on a 9-week basis. Due to childcare needs, we will allow the pick-up location to be different than the drop-off location. Drop-off and pick-up locations must be within the same school attendance area.
• In order for us to provide transportation to/from child care/babysitting, the provider's address must be on an existing bus route of the school attendance area. 
• Daily emergency changes will only be accepted if they are in writing by the parent/guardian and approved by the principal’s office. Approval will be based on space availability on the bus. 
• Changes requested by phone will only be approved in emergency situations.

The Traversa Software, My Ride K-12, will allow us to send push notifications to families through the app if a bus is running behind. 

To register, you will need to use our district’s customized link to create your parent/guardian account and link your student(s) to your account.

After you create your account online OR through the downloadable app using the Account Instruction Guide, you will need to link each student to your account individually. To do so, you will need their date of birth and student ID#.

Please note the following: 

• Pick-up and Drop-off times are subject to change based on enrollment and route modifications. Please check your account regularly leading up to the start of school for the most accurate times.

• Students riding the bus should be ready and at the bus stop at least 10 minutes ahead of the estimated pick-up time.

• Each student can be linked to only two (2) parent/guardian accounts. If you need additional adults to access the transportation information for your child(ren), you will need to follow the steps to “share” your student’s link with others as explained in the Account Instruction Guide.

• Newly registered students should allow at least two school days before information appears on the platform.
