SCHOOL SAFETY

The  Standard Response Protocol (“SRP”), has been implemented by schools and first responders in Clark County to ensure we all speak the same language and respond consistently. SRP was developed by school safety experts from across the nation with the support of the “I Love You Guys” Foundation. This foundation was created by parents who lost their daughter in 2006 and have since worked with national experts to develop the SRP for emergencies affecting schools.

SRP COMMUNICATION

Parents and guardians will receive information from the school and/or District in the event that an SRP action is implemented for any prolonged or dangerous situation. Our first priority in a school safety situation is to activate and implement the appropriate SRP action for the safety of our students and staff. Communication to families will come in as timely a manner as possible.

Please ensure your information is up-to-date in FinalForms so that you receive all necessary communications from the district.

SAFETY DRILLS

Our schools will conduct regular and routine drills in accordance with Ohio Revised Code and the guidelines established by the Ohio School Safety Center. These drills include fire, tornado, and other safety drills (lockdown, active intruder, etc.).

The Safer Ohio School Tip Line is a free safety resource available to all Ohio schools. The tip line is an anonymous reporting system that accepts tips via call, text, webform, and mobile app 24 hours-a-day. Anyone can download the Safer Ohio School Tip Line app or use this link to access the webform.
