About the Show

Little Women follows the four March sisters – Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy – as they grow up in New England during the Civil War. It’s a story of family, ambition, sisterhood, love, and resilience. Kate Hamill’s version is funny, modern in spirit, and deeply moving – a perfect balance of humor and heart.

Roles

This play has a wide variety of roles:

  • Jo March – Independent, fiery, a natural leader, a writer. (Great for bold, energetic performers.)

  • Meg March – Responsible, caring, more traditional than her sisters. (Great for grounded, thoughtful actors.)

  • Beth March – Gentle, kind, artistic, the heart of the family. (Great for sincere, empathetic actors.)

  • Amy March – Spirited, dramatic, ambitious, youngest sister. (Great for expressive, comedic performers.)

  • Marmee – The wise, strong, compassionate mother of the March girls.

  • Laurie – The charming boy next door, playful and full of heart.

  • Mr. Brooke, John, and Professor Bhaer – Male roles with varied personalities: romantic, kind, supportive.

  • Aunt March – Wealthy, opinionated, and sharp-tongued.

Whether you love comedy, drama, or just want to try something new, there is a role for you.
