National Honors Society Induction Ceremony 2025

National Honors Society Induction Ceremony 2025

On Wednesday, October 29th, 2025, the Clark-Shawnee Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) held its Induction ceremony at Shawnee High School. This ceremony is the formal process of declaring inductees as full-fledged members of NHS.

The induction ceremony welcomed ten new student members and two honorary faculty members to NHS. The students were selected after a rigorous process that reflects the core values of NHS: scholarship, leadership, service, and character. To be eligible, students must earn a 3.5 GPA after the third quarter of their sophomore or junior year. Qualified students are invited to apply, and applications are carefully reviewed by a faculty committee, with names kept anonymous, to select those who truly embody the values of NHS.

Each of the honorary faculty members were nominated and voted upon by the current members and inductees due to their outstanding involvement inside and outside of the classroom.

We are proud to welcome each student as members of the Clark-Shawnee NHS Chapter: Reese Chilcote, Lola Derr, Addi Kocher, Kinsley Krouse, Charlie Lemon, Sophie Lemon, Elijah Vince, Lily Wilson, Sara Wilson, Avery Young, Mr. Brian Ebersold (honorary), Ms. Marlo Mitch (honorary).
