Kindergarten Registration for the 2025-2026 School Year

The Clark-Shawnee Local School District will kick off Kindergarten Registration for Class of 2038 the 2025-2026 school year on Monday, June 2, 2025. Incoming Kindergarten students can be registered from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM at the Clark-Shawnee Local Administrative Office, 3680 Selma Pike, Springfield, Ohio, 45502. Students registering for Kindergarten must be 5 years of age by August 1, 2025.

Before you stop in, please fill out FinalForms for your incoming student located in the Enrollment Section of the Clark-Shawnee website. Please be sure to choose the 2025-2026 school year in order to register for the upcoming school year.

Once your student’s FinalForms are completed, please bring the following required documents to the Administrative Office:

Original certified copy of student’s Birth Certificate (from Health Department)
Immunization Records
Proof of Residency (gas, electric, lease, water, or mortgage) dated within the last 30 days. Must be in mom's name or dad's name if you also provide a marriage certificate.
Valid Photo ID of Parent or Legal Guardian (Driver License, State Issued ID, Passport)
Custody or Legal Documents that pertain to the student (if applicable)

Kindergarten Screenings will take place on August 18-22. Screenings will be held at Shawnee Elementary School, located at 1841 E. Possum Rd., Springfield, OH, 45502. You will be contacted via email or telephone to schedule your screening in early August. If you have not been contacted by Mid-August, please contact the school to schedule. (937) 717-2403

Start Dates/Important Dates for Kindergarten Students:

August 25th: – Open House
5:00 – 6:30pm – Meet Teacher, Visit Classroom, Drop-off supplies
5:30 - 6:00pm – Required Parent Meeting
August 26 th : 1 st Day for students, last names starting with A-L
August 27 th : 1 st Day for students, last names starting with M-Z
August 28 th : All Kindergarten Students attend
Regular school hours are: 8:50am–3:40pm
