The Clark-Shawnee Local School District Board of Education will hold a special public meeting on March 27, 2023 at 7:30 AM located at the Clark-Shawnee Local Administrative Office Building.
Elementary students collected over 300 pairs of gently used shoes to donate to the Springfield and Clark County community.
Since the sale opened in December, bricks have been purchased to celebrate graduations and special occasions, honor those who have passed, thank loved ones who have made an impact, and remember the history of our community.
The deadline to purchase a brick for the Memory Walk is March 31, 2023.
The community tree-planting event will take places May 6th. You can order saplings now through April 6th.
Since the train derailment on State Route 41 Saturday afternoon, we have been in contact with Clark County Emergency Management Agency. Due to the road closure, school bus routes will be rerouted around the area.

“One of my favorite parts of being a teacher is when I see students evolve into problem solvers and get motivated by the problem solving process itself as well as the correct answer,” she said. “Another one of my favorite parts about teaching is watching my seventh grade students grow into amazing people with multiple talents by the time they graduate.”
Shawnee seventh grade placed first overall and Shawnee eighth grade placed third overall.
This week, Shawnee High School and Middle School will update its exterior wall signage to reflect that the building now houses both the middle school and the high school. The new signage will also feature the district’s golden block-S logo with Shawnee feathers.
